Semarang, September 24, 2025 — This international seminar (The 2nd ISSRP 2025) provided a valuable platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and students (bachelor, masteral, and doctoral) to discuss and share the latest knowledge on sustainable innovations in ruminant and poultry production in tropical regions. Held at the Aruss Hotel in Semarang, the event was attended by 126 presenters from various countries. The main speakers at The 2nd ISSRP 2025 include:

  • Prof. Dr.agr. Asep Gunawan, S.Pt., M.Sc. — IPB University
  • Dr. Elham Assadi Soumeh — The University of Queensland (Australia)
  • Dr. Nazri Nayan — Universiti Putra Malaysia
  • Prof. Sutaryo, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D. — Universitas Diponegoro

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences Universitas Diponegoro Prof. Sugiharto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D. said that this seminar is a form of Undip’s commitment to supporting the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable animal husbandry science and technology.

“Through this international forum, we hope to foster research collaboration and the exchange of ideas that can strengthen food security and tropical livestock systems,” said the Chairman of the 2nd ISSRP 2025 Committee, Asep Setiaji, S.Pt., M.Si., Ph.D.

This seminar was attended not only by senior researchers from within the country and abroad; bachelor, masteral, and doctoral students from the Department of Animal Science, also actively participated as speakers. Student involvement served as part of a hands-on learning process, helping them understand the role of researchers in the development of animal husbandry science.

As a follow-up to this activity, the seminar paper will be published in the Journal of Advanced Veterinary Research (ISSN: 2090-6269), indexed in Scopus (Q3, SJR: 0.22), thereby broadening the scientific impact and increasing the visibility of tropical livestock research on the global stage.
