A college student is someone who is undergoing education at one of the tertiary institutions consisting of academies, polytechnics, institutes and universities. Diponegoro University consists of 13 faculties and faculties consist of departments and departments consist of several study programs. Every student has rights that must be fulfilled while still registered at a university. One of the rights of students is to obtain the best possible academic services, teaching and information according to each student’s interests, talents and abilities.
Students usually obtain all forms of information through the information center within the faculty and are assisted by ormawa at the faculty and study program level. The flow of information so that it can be distributed on target certainly requires assistance from coordinators in each class. The force coordinator is also called “KOMTING or Level Commander”. The existence of KOMTING in each class of a study program so that information from the bureaucracy, student organizations and external parties can be conveyed well. In order for the role of KOMTING to be optimal, it requires the participation of students who are actively involved in building communication so that harmony and harmony in the class is created.
The Bachelor of Animal Science Student Association, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro held a KOMTING circle activity on Saturday, 21 October 2023 as a forum for discussion between KOMTING and class students to ensure harmony so that information can be channeled well and create student welfare. This year’s KOMTING circle activities carried the theme “The Role of the Animal Husbandry Study Program in Building Harmony and Welfare of the Class”. This activity was attended by animal science students from various class. Starting from the class of 2020 to the class of 2023, namely Tirta Dwi Tamanningrum (2020), Septa Prika Pradana (2021), Ivano Wildan Widiyantoro (2022), Asra Rizqolla (2023). This activity started with the opening, then remarks from the Chief Executive, followed by remarks from the Deputy Chair of the Bachelor of Animal Science Student Association then remarks from the Head of the Animal Science Study Program, Mr. Ir. Rudy Hartanto S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM. continued with the Launching of KOMTING 2023 and symbolic handing over of appreciation by the head of the study program and Deputy Chair of the Bachelor of Animal Science Student Association. Then continued with a sharing discussion session.
The hope is that after this activity can create good relationships between KOMTING and between komting and students so that harmonious collaboration can be created to improve prosperity and cohesiveness both within each class and within the study program. “After this event, it is hoped that KOMTING can work together in mobilizing its friends to support the faculty in making its name proud, for example by inviting them to take part in various existing competitions, then hopefully KOMTING can carry out its mandate well and if there are any problems they can directly communicate with me” said Mr Ir. Rudy Hartanto S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM. As Head of Animal Science Study Program. Apart from that, Elmi Windi Rahayu as Deputy Chair of of the Bachelor of Animal Science Student Association also expressed his hopes. “Hopefully the Commander Level Discussion at the end of this year can be the first step in better synergy between forces in the future in advancing the name of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, especially the Animal Science Study Program,” said Elmi Windi Rahayu.
