Tuesday, 24th Oktober 2023, Bachelor of Animal Science Study Program invited Prof. Rangsun Parnpai, Ph. D. from Suranaree Institute of Technology Thailand to share his experience and knowledge about reproductive biotechnology with the topic “Biotechnologies of Reproductive Livestock and Wildlife Species”. The event was held online by Zoom meeting. The purpose of this event was to improve knowledge on the development of reproductive biotechnology of the students in Bachelor of Animal Science, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (FAAS Undip).
The event started with the opening speech from Dean of FAAS Undip, Prof. Bambang Waluyo H. E. P., M.S., M.Agr., IPU. and guided by Ir. Daud Samsudewa, S.Pt., M.Si., Ph.D., IPM as moderator. The main topics of discussion are cloning, superovulation and embryos transfer, sperm sexing, and in vitro fertilization.
The students enthusiastic to guest lecture was really high. Nearly 200 participants from students, lecturer, and the academician from another university in Indonesia were interested to this topic. The discussion session was also run interactively. Many question discussed in this session.
“Guest lecturer with Prof. Rangsun is insightful for me in especially in biotechnologies reproductive on livestock and wildlife species and also improve my English ability”, said Berinda, Stident of Bachelor of Animal Science FAAS Undip as participant.
