The month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings for Muslims, including Animal Science students, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FAAS) Universitas Diponegoro. In addition to tarawih prayers at the campus mosque and traveling tarawih in each faculty, the joint iftar activity is also a place to seek blessings from this Ramadan 1444 H. Not to forget the Animal Science Students also held an iftar together, some at the laboratory level, one batch, one guardian lecturer and others. This activity is also to increase the togetherness of students and lecturers. The locations used varied, some were around the FAAS campus, Undip jogging track, and also in cafes around Tembalang.
However, what is unique about breaking the fast or iftar with Animal Science Students of FAAS Undip is that there must be a menu made from livestock products, namely eggs, meat or milk. In fact, because of their enthusiasm, some went so far as to burn satay and cook “tengkleng” together from the lamb they previously raised at the Teaching Farm FAAS Undip. “Hopefully all these joint iftar events can further increase our faith, and also increase the sense of togetherness of the entire academic community of the Animal Science Study Program of FAAS Undip,” said Ir. Rudy Hartanto, S.Pt., MP, Ph.D., IPM as the Head of Study Program.
