The Bachelor Animal Science Student Team, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) succeeded in winning 3rd place in the National Level Feed Supplement Innovation Competition organized by Universitas Udayana, Bali.
This very compact team was named the SUPLET Team, consisting of Bachelor of Animal Science Students from the class of 2020, namely: Ronaldo Marpangidoan, Mikael Ronald Wijaya, Indra Fariid Nika Isriyah, Labiibah Azzahroh and Enjinore Eldianti Putri. The SUPLET team is guided by Dr.Ir. Cahya Setya Utama, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM. with the title “SUPLET – Turkey Immunity Enhancing Capsule Supplement Based on Fruit Waste with Encapsulation Technology as a Manifestation of Circural Economy”
In the selection process for the Feed Supplement Innovation Competition, there are two stages carried out, namely the work collection stage and the work presentation stage. In the first stage, innovative proposals were selected, consisting of approximately 21 works from various universities in Indonesia, and selected into the Top 5. In the second stage, the top 5 participants made presentations regarding the proposed innovative ideas, which were then assessed by 3 jury members who were competent in their fields. And Alhamdulillah, the SUPLET Team succeeded in winning 3rd place in the National Feed Supplement Innovation Competition with 1,720 points.
“It feels great to be able to bring Undip’s name to the national stage even though we are all entering our final semester, we hope this will be a motivation for fellow Undip students to want and dare to try competing,” said Ronaldo Marpangidoan as SUPLET team leader. Other member, Indra Fariid Nika Isriyah said “It was a long and exciting process, I never thought that we could bring home the champion for Undip”.
Head of Bachelor of Animal Science Study Program, Ir. Rudy Hartanto, M.P., Ph.D., IPM. also expressed congratulations and thanks for the efforts of the SUPLET Team and Supervisors, while also hoping that more students would dare to take part in the competition and make Undip proud.
