The presence of the Indonesian Animal Science Student Senate Association (Indonesian : ISMAPETI) is a forum that can be used by animal science students to unite, discuss and collaborate with all the universities that are members of it. In order to prepare for the national activities to be carried out, the Executive Board of the Indonesian Animal Science Student Senate Association held a National Working Meeting which was held at Wijaya Kusuma University, Purwokerto, Central Java on March 18-20, 2023. The XVIII ISMAPETI National Working Meeting was attended by 20 of the 107 universities that are members of ISMAPETI.
The sequence of activities contained in the XVIII ISMAPETI National Work Meeting consists of National Seminars and Scientific Writing Contests for Animal Science Students, Nutrition Actions, Work Meetings and Field Trips. The presence of the Student Scientific Writing Contest is a very prestigious event because each student has prepared various interesting ideas to take part in the competition which was held at the XVIII ISMAPETI National Working Meeting at Wijaya Kusuma University, Purwokerto. At the XVIII ISMAPETI National Work Meeting there was an agenda discussed, namely, the inauguration of PB ISMAPETI 2023 members, Grand design of the Organization, Presentation of work programs per department, taking tenders for National activities, Determination of permanent members of UMNU Kebumen. Taking tenders for National activities, namely TIMPINAS and BAMPINAS activities. For the 2023 TIMPINAS Activities, Padjadjaran University hosted the TIMPINAS activities. For the 2023 BAMPINAS Activities, the Mataram University is hosting the BAMPINAS activities. The final agenda was field trip activities to tourist attractions in the Purbalingga area with all participants present at the National Working Meeting.
“I am very pleased to be a delegation of animal husbandry students from Universitas Diponegoro (Eng. : Diponegoro University) at the XVIII ISMAPETI National Working Meeting forum at Wijaya Kusuma University in Purwokerto on March 18-20, 2023; because I can meet livestock students from all over Indonesia, see the results of the competition at the National Working Meeting this time. We are determined to prepare ourselves and the team to take part in the 2023 TIMPINAS activities at Padjadjaran University, “said Abdullah Maulana Fakih as Head of the Bachelor of Animal Science Student Association, Universitas Diponegoro.
Furthermore, he also said that the extraordinary support from the Head of Animal Science Study Program and more support from the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences to attend the XVIII ISMAPETI National Working Meeting was strong evidence of support from the university to maintain and demonstrate the real existence of Universitas Diponegoro on the National Level.
